Give the Fans a Little Background Story: When I was a freshman in high school, I played in the marching band and we did a parade in East Los Angeles. Well, that wasn't as bad as getting lost before the competition and trying to find my way back to the band with a bass drum strapped to my chest... and just when I thought it couldn't get any worse.. a huge dude jumped from the alley and shook me by the hoops of the bass drum and said, "give me all your money". With 20/20 hindsight I know this guy was just trying to scare me half to death... and it worked... but boy... I don't think I have EVER ran that fast with my gear on. I did manage to eventually find the band and perform just in the nick of time. whoo-hoo.
